Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
National Certified Counselor
A trusted clinical professional counselor who listens to you
I’m Erica Sokol, LCPC, NCC, and I help people heal their mind and find their path towards the life they want. I do this by creating an environment where you or your loved one will feel safe to express feelings and concerns without pressure, fear or judgment.
“With proper guidance and support, everyone can fulfill their true potential. This doesn’t mean life won’t get unpleasant sometimes. But with the right help, you can manage life’s challenges and learn how to manage the bad times, so you can make the most of the good times.”
Why choose me as your clinical counselor?
Deciding you need a professional to help you with an important life transition, to save a relationship or to address a mental health concern is a courageous first step. More important, however, is who you choose to help you on your journey.
You’ll want a counselor who genuinely cares about a successful outcome and who’s committed to giving you the best therapy possible. I’ll go out of my way to help you; and I won’t give up hope, even if you think there’s no hope.
“Erica began her career working with children and families affected by Autism. She studied Psychology at Argosy University, where she focused on substance abuse, and at Benedictine University, where she obtained a master degree in Clinical Psychology. After graduating, she worked with clients experiencing anxiety, career counseling, co-dependency concerns, depression, eating disorders, life transitions, marriage and relationship concerns, substance abuse and trauma.
As a nonprofit leader, she delivered programs and treatment to individuals and their families with developmental disabilities and mental health concerns. Currently, Erica is working on a Ph.D. in Organizational Development. Areas of interest include small business, nonprofits, and applying Acceptance and Commitment Theory to organizations.
Erica started Sokol Counseling Solutions to concentrate on the areas of practice she is most passionate about and to help people create the best versions of their selves. Erica’s approach to treatment blends several evidenced-based, behavioral therapies focusing on acceptance and leading to the growth of cognitive flexibility, self-efficiency and skill acquisition. In her free time, she enjoys exploring our nation’s beautiful landscape with her husband, daughters, and dogs.
Are you ready to start living the best version of yourself?”
